SAVE CANAL CARP!



British Waterways are allowing clubs to remove carp for no valid reason that have been present in our canals for many, many years. This is with total disregard for the anglers that do and have enjoyed fishing for them. Canals are the birth place for many UK anglers and removing these fish will have an negative effect on the future of Angling as well as the eco-system. There are not many stretches of Canal that still hold nice carp in the UK and these waters need protecting as the days of a young lad catching a fish of a lifetime from one of these waters will be numbered.

Brentwood Carp Show

Well we really enjoyed getting down to the Brentwood Carp Show last Sunday. So much cool gear, you really could do damage to your bank balance! It was mega busy with the who's who of carping .
 I was very impressed with the new Nash bite alarms. They won't win any awards for looks but they seem to be very well thought out. I'm a Delkim man but I would consider them in the future...I'm loving they're new rods too, so light but a bit pricey!
 It was also good to meet Mark & Jamie from Baitcraft. I started using their bait last year and it's good to put a face to a voice. Check out Jamie's nice buzz bars at Custom Angling solution.Nice! Casting is not one of my strong points but that certainly ain't  the case for the guy's at Freespirit, bloody hell they can chuck a lead a long way!!
